Costa Mesa Police Department arrest a 39-year-old man on suspicion of DUI after he crashed-landed his vehicle on top of two other motorists. The accident took place around 3:00 p.m. when the 39-year-old driver, Matthew Farnsworth of Calabasas, was swerving southbound through Harbor Boulevard lanes in a Infiniti M35 when he hit the median and landed on a Toyota Tundra and a Hyundai Elantra which were both traveling northbound. Harbor Boulevard at Baker Street closed off the northbound lanes for a duration of several hours.
Costa Mesa Firefighters we able to free 39-year-old Farnsworth who was trapped inside of his Infiniti. He was transported to Orange County Global Medical Center where he was treated for severe lacerations to his head. The 44-year-old Costa Mesa man driving the Toyota Tundra was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange for wrist injuries acquired from the accident. The 36-year-old Huntington Beach woman driving that Hyundai was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center, but the condition of her injuries are unknown.
